The call of God is the call to God. No relationship exists where there is no communication. Worship is an invitation to engage directly with God. To express our hearts to God and be uplifted by His presence.

God calls His people to be different, to be changed, to stand out in the best possible way. Transformation into more Christ-like living is an inevitable result of having Christ in our hearts and lives.

God calls us not only for His joy and our benefit, but also as a biproduct of His unrelenting desire to care for and reach out to even more of His children. We are His hands to help carry the load of others.

God calls us to constantly grow, to advance, to mature. If I am not progressing, day by day, year by year, in my relationship with God and in each of the areas discussed in previous weeks, I have to a significant degree missed the call.

God calls His people to live in harmony, both with each other and, as much as it is possible, with the world around them. In as much as we are able to do so we reflect the very nature and heart of God.

God’s first call is both to and through other people. He invites us into communion with Him by being part of community with others. What does that mean and what does that look like?

Just like a dating couple comes to a point where they decide to tie the knot and get married, as our relationship with God develops we reach a moment where we are called to fully commit our lives to Him from that day on.
