What God Expects from You – Jesus tells a parable about the Rich Man and Lazarus (no relation) and illustrates for us what God’s expectations are for our priorities in this life.

What Others Expect from You – When Mary pours a bottle of expensive perfume on Jesus’ feet her actions do not meet everyone’s expectations of what she should be doing.

What You Expect from God – When Jesus delays his visit and Lazarus dies, Mary and Martha wrestle with their expectations of God.

What You Expect from Others – When Jesus comes to visit old friends things do not go as Martha expected

How to we embrace God’s forgiveness?  The answer is found in how we forgive others.

What does it look like when we rely on God to provide for our needs?  The answer is found in what we do with the things He has given us.

What does it mean for God to be our Father?  The answer affects the way we approach and respond to Him.  The truth impacts the way He responds to us.

We all look for meaning in life.  We look to find something that will satisfy that longing and desire in us.  We search for something that will bring us joy and make us happy.  The Teacher concludes his book by stating, “Remember who made you and follow his instructions.”

Many believe that satisfaction lies in the thing they do not have.  Whether it is people, possessions, popularity or prestige – if you could only get it, you would be happy.  The Teachers says, “Being envious of what you don’t have is like chasing after the wind – you’ll never catch it.”
