A clearer vision of Jesus radically changed the disciples.   How might we clear our vision and experience the same kind of radical change in our lives?

There is more behind Jesus’ illustrations of light and salt than appears at first glance (or taste).  These are not simple analogies, but rather they are paradigm shifting directives

 The faith of the Centurion allowed him to take Christ at His word and follow with out hesitation. How can we recapture the power of a willing heart?

Many people miss the God’s great banquet simply because they never receive an invite.  How can we extend God’s invitation to those around us and prepare them to meet the King?

 Jesus final instruction to his disciples was to go into all the world and make disciples.  That mission has been passed on to us.  How do we live it out?

The story of Christ does not end on the cross or in the grave.  Jesus rose from the dead as a testament to His power to breath new life into us.  Will we choose to leave the old behind and live a new life in Him?

In our busy world with our hectic lives it is so easy and common for the important things to be put on hold for the sake of the urgent things.  This cautionary tale reminds us that there are somethings that we simply can’t afford to put off til tomorrow.

The genealogy of Jesus is not just a boring list of hard to pronounce names.  By beginning his gospel with Jesus’ ancestry Matthew is sending a very clear message about what the theme of his book will be, and it may not be what you think.
