Gideon’s question is often our own: “Please don’t take this wrong, but if the LORD is helping us, then why have all of these awful things happened?”  (Jud.6:13 CEV)  The Lord does reign, even in the midst of chaos.

The longest route is the shortest way home – especially when it comes to character building.  The pursuit of maturity spurs us on when the road gets rough and empowers us to face each day with a joyous spirit

Why do you kick against the goads?  Conforming to a life of real freedom requires real discipline.  Are you up for this kind of challenge?  (see also Acts 26:14)

Mercy trumps judgment every time!  Which system would you like to be measured by?  Is that what you extend to others or do you live by one and hope to be aquitted by the other?

Doing life together can get complicated especially when selfishness gets in the way.  Remember, God’s justice will ultimately prevail.  Make sure you are found on the right side of that equation.

Praying & Praising – the perfect team!  Prayer is powerful because a Powerful God responds.  Faith and transparency will get His attention!

Be grateful for all you possess.  Hold it loosely and give it away freely – otherwise, it will inflate your head and take you away from God.

Dead faith is like a dead end street – it goes nowhere!  Genuine faith breaths life into every thought, deed and expression because that is the nature of living faith.

 Not every tenet of the Christian Faith can be analyzed in a test tube and proven to be authentic beyond all doubt.  However, historical evidence and eye witnesses cannot be dismissed – Jesus is real! John saw Him, heard Him and touched Him!
