Jesus shows the difference the simple act of reaching out to him can make in our lives.

Jesus loved to answer a question with a question, and in doing so, often brings us face to face with answers we already know, but don’t particularly like.

Everything comes with a cost and a reward. Jesus challenges his followers to consider if they are really getting what they’re paying for.

Matthew’s gospel has a very clear purpose right from the start. Matthew’s goal is to identify Jesus as the long-promised savior of the world sent by God. Unlike Luke, it is Joseph who takes center stage in this version of the narrative.

Luke’s gospel, more than any of the others, focusses on the details surrounding Jesus birth and childhood. Most of the things we associate with the Christmas story come from Luke’s account. But what is particularly interesting to note is that, aside from Jesus, Mary is the central figure of the story

Mark’s gospel dives head first into the action of the story. There is no genealogy, no nativity, no wisemen or shepherds. Just Jesus, rolling up his sleeves and getting down to the business.

Paul inspires us to do what it takes to stand firm both in the defense of and the advance of the Kingdom.

Paul describes how we should treat one another in light of the way Christ has treated us.
