The most illusive of the four Advent theme. How do we find peace in a world where so many situations and relationships seem to be anything but peaceful?

We all search for joy and happiness in many different places. Sometimes we find it, occasionally if large amounts, but it is always momentary and fleeting. The arrival of Jesus provides joy that surpasses all others! A joy that never perishes or fades.

God is both the definition of love and its ultimate example. His greatest demonstration of His love for mankind is seen in the incarnation of Jesus.

In many cases, the biggest challenge is not knowing what to do or how to do it. The biggest challenge is often found in convincing ourselves to actually do it. James discusses how this applies in a faith context.

James begins his instructional section by tackling what is often the root issue of many of our other challenges.

Getting through the hard times of life is a challenge. On our own it can be more than we can bear, but James shows us how to navigate these seasons and come out the other side with a bolstered faith.

The fruit we typically think we have a lot more of than we do.

The heart is fertile soil. The big question is has it been cultivated to love the fruit of the Spirit or the desires of the flesh.

What makes someone a “good person”? It depends on how we define “good”. When we understand the Biblical definition of good, we understand what kind of goodness the Spirit is wanting to fill us with.
