The fruit we typically think we have a lot more of than we do.

Mark paints a picture of a Jesus who is a great teacher, a merciful healer and a wondrous miracle worker.

Is God really there?  Is He actually paying attention?  Does He care what happens?  The Psalmist says “Where can I go from your Spirit?  Where can I flee from your presence?  Wherever I go, the LORD is there.”

How do we resist and defeat the temptations and attacks of the Evil One?  The answer is found in our reliance on someone greater, stronger and wiser than the Evil One (or ourselves).
