Joy is meant to be something that supersedes our current circumstances, but many of us struggle because, although we want it, we don’t always ‘feel’ it. How does the Spirit nurture that enduring sense of joy in our hearts?

This is the least popular of all the Spirit’s fruit. Self-Control is hard and we often get frustrated at our inability to master it. However, from God’s perspective, in contrast to ours, self-control is about discipline, not deprivation.

We all desire that sense of calm confidence in the midst of life’s turmoil, but peace is often illusive to many of us. How does God’s Spirit bring the peace to our life that is so difficult to find on our own?

Some fruit grows quickly, others take a long time. How does the Spirit cultivate patience in our lives and where does God desire that patience to be applied?

What does godly faithfulness look like and how is it essential to the other eight characteristics listed in Galatians 5?
