Choices have affect.  Sin has consequences.  The results of the fall of man ripple throughout history, gaining more and more steam as we each toss our own rocks into the pond.

Apparently the utopia of the Garden was too good to last.  Temptation enters man’s heart and soon thereafter sin enters God’s perfect world.  The way it happened then is the same way it still happens now.

Everything the Void wasn’t, the Garden is.  If you were asked to name one thing you would change about it, you would have nothing to say.  But is there more to the garden than just being a place of tropical serenity?

God not only creates man in a very special way, but He gives humanity a divine  purpose that calls us to use the very best of creation to draw others back to God.

With His creation complete, God takes the day off.  But why?  Clearly He is not worn out from His efforts, so way schedule a day of rest, and more importantly way take the time to tell us that’s what he did?

The world is ready for life.  All kinds of life.  A wonderous variety of life.  But God spends extra time and gives special attention to one new creature in particular.

The opening scene is not a pretty picture.  The world starts out as a place that is far from utopia, but then God speaks.

The first few words of Genesis very quickly set the stage for all that is to come.   The initial sentence gives us the who, what, where, why and when of the story.

James ends his letter with the hopeful message that it’s never too late to turn it all around.
