One of the things that is notable about the ministry of Jesus is how often He put His own plans and desires on hold to meet the needs of others.  He calls his followers to give the same consideration to others.

One of the toughest “one another” pills for many of us to swallow.  Running contrary to the modern ideals of individualism and looking out for number one, voluntarily deferring to another requires swimming against a very strong current both in our culture and in our hearts.
