Join us for a series of DVD presentations and live discussions. Each session begins at 7PM on Wednesday nights from September 14th through October 12th. The evening begins with refreshments and visiting followed by a 30 minute DVD presentation. Following the DVD presentation we will hold an open time of discussion on the material presented. Topics of discussion are listed below.
SESSION ONE: Sept. 14th Do the vastness of space and the wonders of the universe tell us anything about where it all came from and why it exists? Louie Giglio suggests that the more we look to the stars the more we see the hand of the one who created it all.
SESSION TWO: Sept. 21st The human body is a miraculous thing. Are there clues in our own biology that indicate how we came to be? Louie Giglio suggests that the make up and functioning of the human body is as a testament to the one who put it all together.
SESSION THREE: Sept. 28th What is Evolution? Sean McDowell looks at this question and suggests there are two kinds of evolution that are scientifically observable and a third kind that is not quite as verified.
SESSION FOUR: Oct. 5th There is an alternative to the theory of common descent called Intelligent Design. Sean McDowell presents an overview of this theory and offers evidence as to why it should be considered as a rational, scientific theory for the origin of life on our planet.
SESSION FIVE: Oct. 12th Can we really trust that the Bible we have today is actually what was written 2000 years ago? Sean McDowell applies some of the standard principles of literary criticism applied to all ancient documents to see if the modern New Testament is a reliable copy of the original text.
