One of the things that is notable about the ministry of Jesus is how often He put His own plans and desires on hold to meet the needs of others.  He calls his followers to give the same consideration to others.

One of the toughest “one another” pills for many of us to swallow.  Running contrary to the modern ideals of individualism and looking out for number one, voluntarily deferring to another requires swimming against a very strong current both in our culture and in our hearts.

We love to be on the receiving end of all of the One Another mandates, except maybe this one.  How can we teach the truth in love and, more difficultly, receive teaching in love.

Of all the One Another mandates, this one stands alone as something we are instructed to do not to or with someone, but rather on their behalf.
