Covid19 and Church Gatherings

March 17, 2020

At this time the leadership of our church has decided to suspend all gatherings at our building for a minimum of two weeks and potentially longer depending on the spread of the Covid-19 virus.  We encourage all of our members to set aside time on Sunday to worship together with their family in their homes.  To supplement your worship time, we plan to live stream on our church Facebook page at 10:30 Sunday morning.  The stream will include a message from God’s Word, thoughts around communion, and any updates and announcements that might be helpful to share.  If you are a member of our church family but not currently part of our Facebook group, let us know and we will have you added on.  If you have access to a computer or smart phone, but do not have a Facebook account, let us know and we will help you get access to the live stream.

These are unique times for all of us and we are grateful that we live in a world where electronic communication allows us to stay connected and interact even when we can not meet in the same building for our worship times.  If you have needs or concerns let us know and we’ll do whatever we can to help and assist.  If you are feeling ill, please let us know as well and we will ask others in the church to pray for you.

We will continue to monitor and follow government health organization recommendations and will plan to resume our Sunday morning gatherings when we have been told that it is safe to do so. In the meantime, let us process our fears before God, ensure that our actions are inspired by faith, and that we show grace and love to all those around us.
